NDHFA is currently reviewing and considering updating its Universal Design Standards manual to better reflect best practices in accessibility, usability, and inclusive housing development. As part of this effort, we are inviting feedback to ensure the manual effectively supports safe, functional, and welcoming environments for people of all ages and abilities.

We encourage participation from:

  • Individuals with lived experience related to accessibility needs
  • Developers, architects, and housing providers
  • Service providers and advocacy organizations
  • Tribal partners and community leaders
  • Anyone interested in promoting inclusive housing in North Dakota

Your input will help:

  • Improve accessibility standards in housing developments
  • Ensure practical and effective design guidance
  • Reflect real-world experiences and community needs
  • Support NDHFA’s commitment to equitable and inclusive housing

Stakeholders are invited to submit written comments, recommendations, or participate in upcoming engagement opportunity.
