Colgan Sod House - Submitted by Myrna (Moe) Philipp
Sod house on Gilbert and Mathia Moe's (my grandparents) homestead in the Lincoln Valley and Twin Butte area of Divide County. The nearest town at the time would have been Colgan.

According to our family history, this photo was taken in 1909 by the first Williams County assessor, and it became part of Divide County when they separated in 1910 from Williams County. People on the photo are (from left) Ole Iverson (Mathia Moe's brother), Paul Moe (son of Mathia and Gilbert Moe), Ragna Moe (daughter of Mathia and Gilbert Moe), Mathia Moe holding baby Ingvar Moe, and Gilbert Moe.
